Our Story
 Local Labels believes in supporting our neighbors by making the best of New York City within reach. From specialty foods to gifts, we have explored the five borughs and found local bakers, chocolatiers, artists, and manufacturers creating fresh and unique products. The idea came to us while studying to become urban planners and discussing the loss of manufacturing in the city. We noticed a disconnect between existing manufactures and local retailers who were offering "New York" products- from chocolate covered apples to t-shirts and hats- often mafe out-of-states and overseas. We wanted to start a company that would provide shoppers with a one-stop resource for finding products made in NYC. We were tired of seeing small mom and pop enterprises give way to the big box stores taking over our city. We wanted to see products that truly represented the diverse and vibrant city we live in. Soon after Local Labels was born. Our approach is straightforward. We are committed to providing high quality specialty foods and gifts made by New York City purveyors. All of our products are made within the five boroughs and are hand selected with an emphasis on taste, design and corporate integrity, Our vendors are not nameless, they are the people we work with and run into on the street. We share resources and indeasm working together to support small business and locally made products.
